The Marina of Rodi Garganico, the second operational base of Vela Dream
————————————————————————————————————-
Rodi Garganico (FG)
Rodi Garganico is a town on the north coast of the Gargano promontory, exactly located in the center of a stretch of coast about 12 kilometers long just twenty nautical miles (about 37 km) from the splendid archipelago of the Tremiti Islands.
The center is perched on a promontory set between two long sandy beaches, a few kilometers east of Lake Varano. All around the town there is a luxuriant vegetation, composed in particular of citrus groves, olive groves and pine groves, as well as fig and carob trees. The historical part, like the ancient walls, is medieval in origin and is characterized by narrow alleys, mostly steep and non-linear, which slide into a uniform architectural context in which the residences are designed and built in such a way as to allow the view of the sea from each of them.
